I guess Baby Loves Disco is a natural extension of today's parenting approach ( which I am still trying to figure out day by day). I am totally willing to try it, but there is a part of me that wants to find something wrong with it. I am so sleep deprived that I can't discern what peeves me most: the $12 cover charge, my nearly unflinching willingness to pay it just so I can have a few hours of nostalgic fun, or the fact that I didn't think of this idea myself.
The cover charge applies to all walking humans. I'm curious how the BLD people determine which kids are walking as their parents carry them in the doors. "That child in your arms looks awfully large... sure he isn't walking yet? Mind putting him down while I check his motor development. Whaddya know, he can barely crawl. Hmmm, I know that kids develop differently, but you might want to have him looked at."
I am not being critical... this kind of activity fulfills a definite need. As in "I need a reason to wear unstained clothing." Har har. Plus, it's fitting for these times. Paying for gym memberships, doggie daycare and online dating services are all normal nowadays. Plus, this sounds way more fun than the health club!
