So I've made two batches of my own powdered laundry detergent using
2 cups shredded Fels Naptha
1 cup Arm N Hammer Washing Powder
1 cup Borax
Orange Oil
You use only 2 Tablespoons per load, making it super economical, and it seems to treat your clothing more kindly. Totally loving it. And I love the weird olde timey smell of Fels Naptha. Today I noticed that a small chunk I had in my sewing room was filling the room with its scent and made me feel so calm and happy. So I have a new idea: Fels Naptha slices inside sachets, placed in my clothing drawers. I'll probably smell like a 70 year old, but I'll be sooooo serene.
