I challenged my husband to a Blog-Off the other night, right before turning out the light. I don't think he will remember so I am getting a jumpstart. The goal is to dust the cobwebs off our blogs and write. I believe that the act of writing every day makes me a better writer. I work as a writer, but it's totally different. Cuz it'll be CREATIVE.
I need creative. Because for work, I write signs.
When I say “signs,” what kind do you think of?
giant billboards?
or the ones in bathrooms telling you that employees must wash hands before returning to work
road signs?
building signs?
the ones in M. Night Shyamalan's movie?
passive aggressive notices?
awesome retail signage?
I write the last kind... specifically for the giantest hardware store on Earth. Bleh.
Speaking of retail signage, I came across this blog and had a good hearty laugh. I especially loved this post with images showing how Border's employees used levity to counteract the sadness of losing their jobs. So cute! (Condescension intentional)
